2.1. Admission Policy
NGUC admits students regardless of sex, age, race, religion and national origin. Admission of students is normally based on the results of Somali Land National Examination & Certification Board (SLNECB)
Foreign examinations like the General Certificate of Education (GCE), the Cambridge Overseas Examinations, the Western African School Leaving Certificate and the Oxford Examinations are given equivalence to the SLNECB. Applicants holding these certificates must satisfy the same point averages required on the SLNECB.
The admission of regular and extension students at NGUC is generally based on the criteria shown in the following chart.

2.2. Admission Application Requirements
- Students who fulfill the admission criteria of NGUC are required to submit their applications with all the necessary documents to the Registrar's office. The official application form of the University College is obtained by paying an application fee of 25 dollar. All applicants should complete the application form of the University College and bring:
- 2 photos (passport size)
- Official transcripts and all academic certificates
(Original and photocopies), and
- Any additional supportive document.
2.2.1. CHOICE OF DEPARTMENTS AND PLACEMENT
Admission to the New Generation University College (NGUC) is determined by the Admission's Office of the respective campus. The placement of students is based on their choices of departments provided that they fulfill departmental requirements.
When the number of students for a particular department is below the minimum for a class, the students may be assigned to other departments according to their second or third choice.
