2.7. TRANSFER AND EXEMPTION POLICY

2.7.1. TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER HIGHER LEARNING INSTITUTION

A student admitted to NGUC is eligible to transfer credits earned from other accredited institutions of equivalent accreditation standard provided that the student is in a good academic standing, i.e. Only a GPA of 2.00 and above.
  • Only courses equivalent to courses offered in NGUC will be transferred.
  • Any transferred course must have a grade of "C" or better, to graduate from NGUC, a transferred student is required to take a minimum of 50% of the total credit hours.
  • Credit transfer of a student should be processed by the respective academic department and the Registrar's office and approved by the Academic Commission of the respective campus.
  • Similarly, requests for course exemption must be approved by the respective department and the Academic Commission.

2.7.2. TRANSFER WITHIN NGUC

Students may, with the approval of the Academic Council, transfer from one department to another, from regular to extension program or vice versa on the basis of the following conditions:
  • The concerned departments must agree;
  • The transferred student must be in good academic standing; and
